At MBCLab, we are committed to fostering a welcoming and safe environment for all, where we actively condemn all forms of discrimination and aggression. We continuously strive to integrate inclusive excellence in our research by prioritizing education and self-development in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-racism (EDI-R). Rather than leaping prematurely into action, we focus on building core competencies in EDI-R to enhance our research outputs through intentionally inclusive design.
Central to our efforts is the promotion and nurturing of psychological safety, which we define as "a belief that one will not be humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes, and that the team is safe for interpersonal risk-taking." By fostering this sense of safety, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive space where everyone feels empowered to contribute and grow.
